Huawei recently launched its flagship device, the P40 series. This time Huawei announced Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus. Both phones have Huawei's new Kirin 9000 chipset built on Huawei's 5 nanometer architecture.
The two phones have a 6.8-inch curved OLED display, which supports 90 Hz refresh rate. Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mate Pro Plus - Both phones support 50 watt wireless charging. In addition to the two phones, Huawei has also announced the Basic Mate 40 phone.
Huawei's phones are not doing well outside of China due to lack of Google's app and service. However, Huawei's P line-up phones are proving themselves by providing good camera performance.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 20-megapixel ultraviolet camera, an 8-megapixel periscope camera with 10x zoom, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus
Huawei claims that the phone is capable of optical zoom up to 18x. On the other hand, the P40 Pro also has the same main camera and ultraviolet camera, but the periscope has a zoom lens up to 5x and an optical zoom up to 6x.
Both phones have Huawei 's new 5 nanometer Kirin 9000 processor. Huawei claims to be the first company to make a 5 nanometer 5G chipset. The Kirin 9000 has an 8-core CPU and a 24-core GPU. The Mate 40 Pro Plus has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Mate 40 Pro has 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage.

Both the phones have 4400 mAh battery. Huawei has competed with Xiaomi by adding 50 watt fast wireless technology to both the phones . The phone also has 8-watt wired fast charging support.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro
The Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus have underdisplay fingerprints. Huawei has also announced a downgraded version of the two phones, the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus. The Mate 40 with a 6.5-inch display will be powered by a relatively less powerful Kirin 9000E processor. The phone has three cameras - a 50-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultraviolet camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom. Periscope zoom lens is omitted in Met 40. The 4200 mAh battery in the Mate 40 can be charged with a maximum 40 watt wired charger. Mate 40 has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
Huawei has also announced the Porsche Edition of the Mate 40 , which has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus is priced at 1399 Euros, while the Met Pro is priced at 1199 Euros. On the other hand, the Mate 40 model will cost 799 Euros. The Porsche Edition of the Mate 40 is priced at 2295 Euros.
